I only found out about #30DaysWild last night. Just in time. The Wildlife Trusts launched it today – the idea behind it is to get people of all ages out into nature and the wild. Every day. As a blogger you can sign up to blog every day for 30 days about the daily experiences you have in the wild, in nature. It seemed like a perfect project for us, and it isn’t too late to sign up so why not join in too?
For my first foray into #30DaysWild Farmer and I went to check on the fields below the house, to see how the grass was growing. Usually by the end of May, we have lots of grass for the animals. This year it has been very slow. We did find Common Twayblade coming out into flower in the field by the graveyard, and somehow on a grey wet day the bluebells seemed even more blue.
We walked back through the wood with Woodruff flowering along the burn and Marsh marigold still coming out into flower.
The forecast is for 50+ miles per hour winds this afternoon, the sky is grey and the sea is grey. The trees around the house are only just coming into leaf, I hope they still have them tomorrow.
