Charging your electric car on Mull
There is no need to worry about charging your electric car on Mull! There is a network of charge points across the island, including one here at Treshnish.
To find locations of the other charge points on Mull, please use the Map facility on the Chargeplace Scotland website. This should inform you if any aren’t working and what their costs are.
The Treshnish Charge Point
Our charge point is located on the north side of the farm steading across the yard from the farmhouse. Please note it is a mile from the Haunn Cottages.
Usage fees
We buy 100% renewable energy. At the moment we are paying 37.31p a kW/h – on a business tariff. The cost of charging your car on the charge point at Treshnish will be 37p a kW/h. Should our costs go up we will have to alter the cost per kW/h to meet those increases.
Chargeplace Scotland Card
I strongly recommend guests purchase a Chargeplace Scotland card. This costs £10. This should work if the app isn’t working and might make the difference between being able to charge your car and not. You need to apply for this before you travel.
Chargeplace Scotland App
The App has an easy to access map and up to date information on any chargers that are not working. Using it requires you to have mobile signal. Our Chargepoint is within Vodafone and EE signal. Some of our guests have found it difficult to use the App here, but have been able to charge using the Card.
WEBPAY
If you cannot get the App to work, please go on to the ChargePlace Scotland WEBPAY page. You can pay by card.
We cannot be held responsible if the Chargepoint is not working for any reason.
