Treshnish & Haunn Cottages are open all the year round
Click on the links to get an idea of what life on the island, and the farm, is like throughout the year.
Spring
The days begin to get longer, the island is still quiet and the wildlife rewarding.
Whatever the time of year, there are plenty of places near our Mull cottages to explore whilst out walking, either on the farm or further afield.
Summer
Enjoy long days of sunlight and carpets of wild flowers.
In July the Highland Games take place in Tobermory, the Agricultural shows at Salen and Bunessan are on in August whilst the Producers Markets in village halls are held every other Sunday throughout the summer. Visitors can take one of numerous Wildlife Tours, or a day trip to Iona. There are many award winning places to eat…and there is always a quiet corner of a beach to discover from sunrise to sunset.
Autumn
The hills begin to turn colour as the evenings draw in, relax by the fire..
Time for walking on the beach or along the dramatic Treshnish coastline by day, experience live music at An Tobar or a performance by Mull Theatre in the evening, or stay in in our cosy comfortable Mull cottages and put your feet up!
Winter
Winter can be a special time to visit the island. Resident wildlife can almost be easier to spot whilst out walking on empty hills and beaches. The weather is variable of course, but a classic winter storm can be something to write home about when experienced from the warmth of one of our cottages! And the still cold crisp days are magical. Come prepared for the worst, and be pleasantly surprised!
Look at our farm blog for more seasonal photographs.
Dark Skies on Mull
Autumn and winter are the perfect time of year to take in the awe-inspiring sights of the auroras over Mull and the surrounding islands.
