Family friendly eating places on Mull
There are lots of family friendly eating places on Mull, and some are within a few miles of Treshnish!
Mull and Iona Food Trail
In your cottage you will find a copy of the latest Mull and Iona Food Trail Map. All the listings on the Map use island produce. You can also download one from their website before you arrive, to help you plan where to go. Near Treshnish, and on the Map, there are several family friendly eating places.
Cafe @ Calgary and Robin’s Boat
The nearest place to us is the Cafe @ Calgary. Just up from the beach. A great place to combine a ramble through the woods with something to eat, fun for kids exploring the different sculptures and there is even a zip wire! Opening times are on the Food Trail Map. You can sit in or eat outside. Robin’s Boat, at Calgary Beach, sell ice cream made with milk from Sgriob Ruadh Farm (where they make Isle of Mull Cheese). Open on sunny days between 12 and 4.
Am Birlinn
Am Birlinn is about 15 minutes drive from the farm. They do an early evening sitting perfect for families with young children. It is always advisable to book.
The Bellachroy
Children are welcome at the Bellachroy in Dervaig. You can sit in in the lounge bar as well as eat outside. They have a child friendly menu.
There are plenty of other family friendly eating places on Mull. Have a look at the Food Trail Map for further details.
To combine a child friendly meal with a farm visit you could head to the Glass Barn at Sgriob Ruadh Farm. They are more than happy for families to visit and to see their dairy cows, and meet the naughty goats – who sometimes try to come into the cafe!
