First summer guests for the Shepherd’s Hut
We did a soft opening last September but our first summer guests for the Shepherd’s Hut arrive next weekend. It is looking good and I can’t wait for guests to be enjoying being there.
Landscaping
We have been busy landscaping – laying a path and some turf and sewing a mix of wild flower and grass seed on areas of bare ground. There are two Adirondack chairs, to sit in and enjoy the views. The lochan is rain fed so in drier weather it might be more greenery than watery, but the Herons love it and the Greylag geese too.
Outdoor bath
We have installed the brilliant orange Dutch outdoor bath, which is wood-fired. It has gabian windbreaks filled with fishing floats and buoys and is open to a great view reaching from Treshnish Point down to Calgary Bay towards the beach.
The hut itself
Inside the hut is ready for guests. Have a look at the webpage for further details.
Summer availability
We have plenty of availability this summer, have a look at our Make a Booking page and book yourselves in!
