Mid winter celebrations
After a difficult year for so many, the shortest day was something to celebrate. Heralding the start of the Festive Season. Not to mention the turning of the year!
So with a few friends, well wrapped up against the cold, we celebrated by a sparkling fire as it got dark on the afternoon of the Winter Solstice. A skein of Greylag geese flew over our heads and went to roost on the machine. Across the bay we could hear an Owl calling.
Thank you to all our guests, friends and neighbours for their support this year. It is very much appreciated.
Happy New Year! We wish you all the best for the coming year – let’s hope it is better than the one we have just said goodbye to.
