Mull and Iona Arts Trail Open Studios 2023
The first ‘Mull and Iona Arts Trail Open Studios 2023’ event is taking place over the Easter weekend. All over Mull and Iona. Friday 7th to Monday 10th April 2023. Why not visit a few?
Meet the artist!
This is a great chance to meet local artists and look at their work.
Near Treshnish
Run by our talented ceramicist neighbour Tin Shed Gallery is the closest venue to us, just up the hill towards Ulva Ferry. You could tie in doing the Treshnish Headland Walk with a visit to the gallery – marked Larach Mhor on the OS map.
Further afield
As you can see from the Map above there are lots of venues in Dervaig and Tobermory, and a fair few near Fionnphort and on Iona. I am definitely going to try and do a day trip to the Ross to visit their venues. Perhaps if you already planned a day trip to Iona from Treshnish you could visit the Iona venues too. There are great places to grab a bite to eat too on Iona!
Photographs
If you have read the About page you may have realised that I take photographs – not only for the website! I have been working on a project called Fangan since 2020. I’ve exhibited these photographs at An Tobar, at local agricultural shows and in Edinburgh.
I really wanted to take part in the first Mull and Iona Arts Trail Open Studios 2023 but I don’t have anywhere at Treshnish to exhibit photographs, so I will be at the Church Hall in Dervaig instead. Venue 18/20. On Easter Sunday between 12 and 4pm. Please do come along. There will also be a small selection of images from Corrugations – a project recording tin buildings.
More details
For more details about this event please look at the Arts Trail website. You can pick up a paper copy of the Map around the island too or download it here.
