Short term let Licensing Scheme
The Scottish Government has implemented a licensing scheme for the self catering (and bed and breakfast) industry in Scotland. The deadline for applications was the 30th September. This scheme stipulates that every self catering unit in Scotland must have a licence, and every advertisement or website should list the licence number and the EPC for each unit.
We asked a solicitor, an expert in licensing, to oversee and submit our application to make sure we complied with all the rules of the scheme. Our 9 applications were submitted in time and we have received the following reference numbers: It could take a year before all the licence applications are processed but we are reassured by our solicitor that we have met all the criteria.
