Spring in the Shepherd’s Hut
Spring in the shepherds hut at Treshnish is a time to savour as the earth begins to warm up, the grass starts to grow and the Bluebells emerge. Young trees regenerating in the embryonic woodland near the hut are beginning to glow with tiny fresh green leaves, and their branches are full of birdsong in the mornings.

Daylight hours
Daylight hours are lengthening, and the sun has started to set across the back of the Isle of Coll. Watching the sunset from the comfort of the outdoor bath is magical.

Cooking outdoors
One of the things our guests enjoy most is the experience of cooking in the wood fired stove. You can grill, and bake, and make pizza – all whilst enjoying the view across the spring woodland to the sea beyond. You can buy hogget from our freezer if you eat meat. It is possible to buy frozen locally made pizza at the Tobermory Stores if you don’t want to make them from scratch!

Things to do
If you want to be active there is lots to do on the island. If you want to chill out and not go very far, this is the place to base yourself. The Hub has a selection of maps and local books, and Wifi if you need it. There are lots of walks locally = exploring the coastline and the hill, with extensive views and vistas.
Treshnish is a working farm. If you’d like to read more about what we do here, have a look at our farm blog here.
