The Mull and Iona Shop
One of the positive outcomes of the Covid pandemic has been the emergence of sites like the Mull and Iona Shop website. Finding new ways of keeping the local economy going in these difficult times. This great website fills the gap for makers and producers on the islands who weren’t been able to sell their products to visitors this summer.
The Mull and Iona Shop website was set up by a local Mull couple called Joe and Chloe. They could see that small businesses were suffering without the footfall of visitors to the island during Lockdown. Creating this online marketplace has been their response. It provides Mull and Iona enthusiasts all over the world with a way of sourcing their favourite island arts, crafts and produce.
Variety
The website has already got a good variety of different products for sale. Choose from Jewellery, Painting and Prints, Food and Drink, Crafts, Home and Decor, Garden, Stationary and Books.
Regular visitors to Mull will recognise some of producers and craftwork. You will find Lucy’s cards and crafts from Lip na Cloiche garden a few miles from here, and the delicious chocolates from Arlene’s Coffee Shop in Craignure. You might recognise the chocolates from our welcome packs. And most of you will have visited Lucy’s stunning garden on the way to Ulva Ferry!
Easy to shop
The shopping process is easy. You can pay securely using your card or PayPal. Purchases can be posted to all corners of the world. Perfect place to do some Christmas shopping!
Support small producers
The economic consequences of lockdowns and movement restrictions have made us all realise the importance of supporting the small businesses we care about. Using a website like the Mull and Iona Shop will help support the craftspeople and small businesses on the islands.
